Putting up Christmas Tree and Outside Lights

As always, putting up Christmas decorations is a lot of work, but totally worth it in the end:) The kids were much more helpful this year since they are a bit older….and Nathan only knocked the tree down once….and since he broke the stand in the process, Shon had the great opportunity to rig up a new one really quick! Such adventures and memories.
Setting up our super fancy tree.

Cody, Kali, Kayla, Nathan all "helping" so nicely.

This year Kali got to help Daddy put the star on top, and she was thrilled.

Our Tree…we actually never did finish decorating it. We got the train on, and that is all the kids really cared about. Plus, after seeing Nathan in action, you would probably agree that it was much safer for everyone to just leave the sparkly glass balls off this year. We did add a few homemade ornaments later, though.

 Outside Lights

Shon and Cody got all the rock climbing gear out so they could be extra safe on the roof.  (and I think they just like using it!)

Daddy and Cody hard at work

The girls could hardly wait to get up and join the fun. It was much easier after we borrowed a ladder that was actually tall enough for the job.
Nathan and Annabelle had a front row seat, complete with snacks.

They were trying to hook themselves together and didn't know I was watching:)

So, we can't wait to get back to Utah where we can do some real rock climbing!

Cody loves working with his Dad

And looking after the girls

1, 2, 3….kiddos on the roof!

Muscles!!!

Anyway, we were all just having fun hanging out together, and the lights looked great when they got done!
