These pictures are for a few of you that wonder what we do here in Arizona besides play with Cody's hair! This is the view from a short hike we went on last week. We've been told there is actually quite a bit of hiking not far from our house. This little hike was on post.
Shon has also taken up some new hobbies. He decided to try out hunting and put in for a deer tag. He wanted to hunt a havelina, but decided maybe another time. They are huge pigs that have a bad habit of knocking over our garbage cans. Yep, they are real...big pigs that roam the neighborhood and run wild around these parts. Anyway, he also decided to become a fisherman. So, Saturday we bought a pole and some other stuff and headed to Parker Canyon Lake. It was really fun! The lake is about 9 miles straight through the mountains, but driving took about 40 min because of the winding road which was more like 20 mi from here. Shon went out Friday with a friend and his boat. He decided fishing from the boat rather than the shore was more successful. But, we went out Saturday and had a good time. Cody even decided he'd give it a try. Oh, this is the warning sign we got as we headed into the hills. The lake is only a couple miles from the border. No worries, we were fine.

Wow! I hope Shon threw that fish back so he could grow a little more. It is cool that you guys get to spend so much time together as a family!
